Dust Mite and Flea Control is a specially formulated borate product made by the Ecology Works.  Simply mix it with water and apply to fabric, rugs and carpeting for long-lasting control over dust mites and fleas.

Boron, a natural element essential for healthy plant growth, aids in the assimilation of calcium in the human body.  Borates have a long history of use in insect control, and have a long, successful history of use  as an effective treatment against fleas, termites, cockroaches, ants and other insects.

You can clean and treat in one easy step using a steam vacuum extractor

Just mix a cup of The Ecology Works^® Dust Mite & Flea Control with 5 ounces of Steamvac Carpet and Upholstery Detergent  to one gallon of hot water in a steam vac cleaner, and as you clean, you will eliminate dust mites and their allergens.  The natural boron compounds will eliminate existing dust mites and keep them from coming back.* 

Coverage: When applied in a hot water extractor a 2 lb. pouch of DustMite and Flea Control will treat 400 square feet of carpeting.  When applied by sprayer after deep cleaning, or when treating new carpet and upholstery, a 2 lb. pouch will treat 800 square feet.

Instructions for the spray-on method

The Ecology Works® DustMite and Flea Control is a specially formulated boron compound that dissolves easily in water.  You simply add the Dust Mite and Flea Control to water in a spray bottle and apply to carpets, upholstery and mattresses. Let dry.

 You may also use a steam vacuum equipped with a hand tool to apply the dust mite and flea solution mixed right in with cleaning detergent.  DustMite and Flea Control is clear, has a neutral pH, and will not stain light-color fabrics. 

You simply mix 1 cup of Dust Mite and Flea Control per 1/2 gal. of water. For small areas, such as an upholstered chair, use a hand held spray bottle and for larger areas, use a larger  pump sprayer.
